| In July 1994, the Lord called 8 people in Hampton, VA to start a new church. Soon after that, this group of 8 asked Mark to come and be the pastor of this new ministry. After much prayer and consideration, Mark accepted the responsibility of becoming the pastor of First Calvary Baptist Church. The first location was at 9 Silver Isles Blvd. in Hampton, VA. Having been blessed with so many wonderful people, the building at 9 Silver Isles soon became much too small. After looking for many months, the Lord allowed us to purchase this beautiful church facility (above) at 162 Alleghany Rd. in Hampton, VA. It is triple the size of our first church and the Lord is quickly filling up this building also. Mark and I love the people and the work at First Calvary. It is always a joy to be where God wants you to be, and doing the work He wants you to do. We have an active, growing, and evangelical, independent Baptist church and would love for you to visit with us one Sunday.
