Black Bean Dip
1 15 oz. can black beans
2 to 4 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tsp cumin
2-3 tsp chili powder
1-2 tsp red hot pepper flakes
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp garlic powder
dash of cayenne pepper
juice of 1 lime
Blend all ingredients in a food processor adding water until smooth (approx 2-4
tbs) or until desired consistency. Serve with your favorite chips. Variation:
mash ingredients with a fork for a chunkier-style dip.
