Uncle David going Home & family updates
These last couple of days have been sad for me---Sad that my Uncle David Shippey went to be with the Lord on Saturday night, March 4th, 2006. He marched forth into Heaven to meet Jesus and see his Mom, Dad, brother Elmer, brother Willie, sister Josephine, and sister Helen! Although it is sad for many of us who he left behind, those in Heaven are rejoicing that another one has joined them!! He was 76 years young. He loved his family and friends. Here is the article in our Huntsville Times Online Newspaper that his daughter, Cheryl Shippey Mann wrote. It's a great article! He loved teaching----teaching math, and teaching about life! All of us that were close to him will have those fond memories that we'll keep in our hearts forever! On Feb. 17th, 2006 my Uncle Willie Shippey went to be with the Lord. He was 80 years old. (These were my Dad's (Elmer) brothers) He will also be missed by many. Here is the article in our Huntsville Times Online Newspaper that his daughter, Nancy Shippey Rentschler wrote. Please take the time to read these articles. On the upside of all this, we did get to see our family that we haven't seen in awhile! It was good seeing all my first cousins!! We are all planning on seeing each other, hopefully, over better circumstances. In Christ who sent us The Comforter (Holy Spirit) in our time of sorrow! Kathy

I am so sorry about your loss. It seems that the last month has been rough for you. My daughters also lost their grandfather on their dad's side last week, so we know how you must be feeling. I read the articles that you have links for above and they are very nice. I can tell that both of these men were well liked!
