Just wanted to say that I volunteered to work the Big Spring Jam this year!  It was my first time to volunteer and it was great!  I would recommend volunteering, if you haven't done it before!

My time to volunteer was today from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.  I sold tickets to those that hadn't already purchased one.  They were $25 for an all day pass.  They had went up some from last years price. 

After I finished selling tickets, I went to the Volunteer Parking Lot where they had cold water for us, along with some snacks.  I was by myself so I talked for a little while (and rested) while eating some cheese crackers, a breakfast bar and a bottle of water.

After I rested some, I went to the First Baptist/The Rock stage to hear the Christian music.  I managed to hear Candlefuse  They were really good!  That was the first time that I've heard them.  Their vocals were excellent -- especially the lead singer!  They are a group of four men who sing for the Lord through their rock/contemporary Christian Music.

My son and I were also looking for a car for him, so I left, ate dinner, and looked some more, then right before I was going back to the Jam, it started raining!!  Lord, I'm glad we got rain, but, you couldv'e waited until the Jam was over!!  But, thank You anyway! 

So, that was around 7 pm.  I hated to waste the night, so I decided to drive over to Books-a-Million (where a lot of people went when it started raining).   I bought a book by Joyce Meyer called "Beauty for Ashes".

I wanted to wait a little while, hoping that it would quit raining, so I bought the book and had a hot cup of Ginger & Green Tea while reading some of "Beauty for Ashes".  It was very relaxing!  However, when it reached 10 pm, I decided that it wasn't going to quit raining, so I just went home to curl up with the book! 

And that was my Saturday adventure!
