Decoration Day at Centre United Methodist Church in Brilliant, AL

Mom and I got up early this morning and went to Clem Tire Co. to buy a tire before we travelled to Brilliant.  It was an overcast day and it did rain a little while we were there.  It was around 9:00 am when we finally hit the road! 

We arrived at the church cementary and put flowers on MawMaw & PawPaw Conway's grave, my Dad's (Elmer Shippey) grave, and Momma's uncle's grave ( ? Heathcock), and Momma's aunt & uncle Jessie & Daughty Conway's grave.  There were people there that were also doing the same thing that we were.  We didn't see anyone we knew so we left after about an hour.

Before we left the cementary, we called Momma's Aunt Edna Conway Heatchcock and she gave me directions on how to get to her house in Gu-Win (the spelling is correct!).  We spent a few hours at her house & met several of her family members.  We stayed a couple of hours and had lunch with them.  Momma & I enjoyed talking with them.
