Kathryn Newell has her diploma in interior decorating and design from the Granton Institute of Toronto, Ontario.
A versatile artist, Kathryn paints in acrylic, mixed media, and watercolour. She especially enjoys creating mixed media works on paper and canvas using the creative employment of pouring, watercolour, acylic inks, applying acrylic paint and then adding collage with handmade and hand dyed Japanese papers.
Kathryn has taught watercolour for the Kelowna B.C. Art Gallery for many ears. Upon request she gives Workshops and Demonstrations at colleges, schools and groups.
Kathryn is a member of the Kelowan Watercolor Guild.
Her work is owned by private and corporate collections throughout Canada, Great Britain, Europe, the United States, Japan and South Africa.
