I spent over 6 months in South America in 2002. At first look my path may seem strange, but it was guided by festivals, friends, and weather. All I knew when I arrived in Lima in June, was that I had to return there to catch my flight home in December.
I traveled in Southern Peru and Bolivia for the first 2 months. The weather was cold, so I headed north to Ecuador where I studied Spanish for 2 weeks and visited Galapagos for 2 weeks. Then I volunteered in Northern Peru for a month. After 2 more weeks of Spanish school in Bolivia, I traveled south through Chile and Argentina all the way to the bottom for the last 2 months.
