What is the fascination with Japanese Anime and Manga?

Some are really good, some weird. They are usually very creative, imaginative; some are very violent.
Some are very thoughtful, philosophical, but most are exciting!
American animation is very good too, I think. Here are a few Japanese
animes which my kids really like!
