| Classroom Management I believe classroom procedures are necessary to have a well managed classroom. Here are just a few of the procedures I will use in my classroom. |

| Procedure 1:� Handing in papers. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 1. Explain:� I will explain to the students that the correct procedure for handing in papers in my classroom is to pass their papers across the row to their neighbor until all of the papers are on one side of the classroom.� Then the classroom helper for the week will come and collect the papers from the end of the row.� The student helper will then place the papers in the basket marked daily assignments. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2.� Rehearse:� I will rehearse this procedure by having the students pass a blank piece of paper across the rows as I explained earlier.� Then a volunteer student helper will collect the papers and place them in the daily assignments basket. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 3. Reinforce:� I will reinforce this procedure by re-teaching it as needed and by practicing it everyday until it becomes a routine. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Procedure 2:� Placing a heading on papers. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 1. Explain:� I will explain to my students that the procedure for placing a heading on their papers in my classroom will be, their name in the top left corner of the page, under their name will be the class name and period of the day, and finally under the class name and period will be the date. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| 2. Rehearse:� I will rehearse this procedure by practicing a correct heading together as a class. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 3. Reinforce:� I will reinforce this procedure having an example placed on the board for a few weeks. I will also remind students of this procedure until it becomes a routine. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
