Our medical transcription rates are on a per line basis. We feel that gives you the best opportunity to track costs and manage your project. Using a per line rate means equity for both you and me.
RATES/TURNAROUND TIMES
Our Basic Rates at this time for medical transcription is .08 line with a 6 to 10 day turn-around.
Our rates are linked to your deadline requirements. Generally, the faster you need your project returned, the higher the rate. Our turnaround times begin when we receive your project and are counted in business days.
Emergency Same Day......25 line
Next Day............... .15 per line
2-3 Days ............. .12 per line
4-5 Days ............. .10 per line
6-10 Days ............. .08 per line
Hospital transcription rate is .15 per line.
For single-spaced correspondence, rates are $2.50 per page. For expedited work, I suggest you provide us with your letterhead via email or diskette.
Line count is done using Word Perfect.
FORMATTING
We use single spacing, 1 1/4 top inch border(for hole-punch), and 10 point Trebuchet MS font for medical charts.
I am flexible in formatting to match whatever your format is. Please send a copy of your usual format and/or reports along with your tape. Medical transcription templates will be made according to your specifications.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
All rates include the cost of returning tapes to client if local. Due to new HIPAA regulations, we do NOT transmit any medical documents via email and all transcription refuse is shredded promptly. If printing is required there is a $.30/page cost.
If you require printing on label paper for charts, the cost of the special paper would be an accrued printing expense unless the label paper is provided.
Rates assume clear dictation with no background noise and complete clarity. We will assess your tapes as soon as we receive your project and if they don't meet our standard of complete clarity, you will be contacted to discuss your options.
Discount consideration is given for large projects.
AVAILABILITY
Our availability for projects, especially next day projects, depend upon the following:
1) The size of your project
2) The quality of your material
3) The amount of work already scheduled
All medical documents are considered CONFIDENTIAL under the HIPAA Act and we are fully HIPAA compliant.
Our medical transcription meets or exceeds HIPAA regulations. This includes electronic transmissions, storage and the handling of hard copy. All medical transcription is processed in-house and output is delivered physically if you are local or sent by UPS or U.S. mail.
We reserve the right to refuse certain types of tapes, i.e. surveillance tapes, poor quality tapes, offensive subject matter, speakers with hard to understand heavy accents, etc.
