CAUTION, EASTER BUNNY CROSSING

 

 

Episode First Show: March 20^th 1970

Hoss dresses up as the world’s biggest Easter bunny to bring Easter eggs to the children in an orphanage. At the same time four inept outlaws try to rob the Wells Fargo wagon. Hoss has to try to stop them.

 

 

 

I simply can't explain it but Dan's expressions and those bunny ears just have me in hysterics of laughter. Dan has a wonderful way of tippy toeing around too (just as he does in the meadow looking for the Leprechauns)which I find both so funny and so endearing.

Those little vignettes with Hoss's hand over Candy's mouth and Joe's late (or early? LOL!) arrival are so much in character.

"Easter Bunny" may not be the greatest story but I love it just for Dan/Hoss in the suit. Perhaps also in a wider context that it reminds me of so many great Bonanza comedies and the fun that the guys had together on the set.
