High Chaparral Fan Fiction

 

 

Welcome to interested writers of High Chaparral Fan Fiction.

 

Below are the guidelines when writing for this site. They are few, but important.

 

1. A general disclaimer has been made on the High Chaparral page of this site and it will be considered that all writers of fanfiction accept this disclaimer.

 

2. Any one may create their own High Chaparral serial, episode or 'season'

 

3. Topic and Content are at the discretion of the writer. HOWEVER the site owner will not tolerate slash themes or gratuitous violence or sex. A ‘G’ rating is preferred though mild oaths and references to sexual situations are allowed as long as it is made clear by the author that the story may not be suitable for all. Sexual situations or strong language may mean that the story will only be available by email and will carry an ‘R’ rating.

 

4. Keep the characters in character.

 

5. Stick to the timeline and locale established in the series.

 

6. Writers are requested to state a Rating to ensure reader choice is respected. A small description of content with each posting is also advised.

 

7. 'Crossover' stories that mix and match other Western shows are welcomed.

 

8. Alternative Universe stories (i.e.: ones where one of the boys gets married or dies) will be considered but must carry a warning that the story is AU.

 

9. PLEASE NOTE: The Site Owner DOES NOT Edit, Manipulate, or Spell Check other peoples writing. It is up to the Author to ensure all these things are completed before a file is uploaded!

 

10. Send any stories for publication to [email protected]. It is preferable that these stories be in Word Format and sent in the form of an attachment.
