Yes, I married a man in the military.

This picture was taken while "The General" and I were on a little trip to Arkansas. Being the romantic he is, my soldier decided we should reafirm our wedding vows (or at least have our picture taken as reafirming them) at Judge Roy Beam's Chapel of Love! At the reception, we let our hair down a little.

Yup, there are four of them. You can see the girls still protect their baby brother. We are very proud of all of them.

Our family had quite a population explosion this year. Our son married his long time sweety in January. As far as I'm concerned, Jessica has always been one of my daughters, I just don't have any baby pictures of her is all.

And our youngest daughter followed his lead two months later. Yes, someone finally captured Toni's heart! Paul is a wonderful man and fits in very well with the rest of our motley crew.

And the icing on the cake is the arrival of our Granddaughter, Grace in May and the expected Granddaughter in November. Boy, is our table going to be full at Christmas dinner this year!

playing with my Grandsons, which I enjoy tremendously, or standing in front of the kitchen stove cooking something for Fred, which I enjoy a LOT less.

Nice Guys
It isn't true, nice guys finish last. They've won before the race even began.

We bought a good size chunk of woods on a lake just thirty miles north of our home a few years ago. We added a small cabin and a few amenities over the years It's a wonderful place full of trees, berry bushes and wild flowers.

Our oldest grandson and I built a tree house last summer. Fred calls it the "Tree house slash deer stand". Brent and I are making a sign that says "Grandma and Brent's tree house, no grumpy people allowed!" Better be on your best behavior, Fred, if you plan on using it this fall!
