Welcome! Here is a list of my favorite couples from Days Of Our Lives -
the NBC Daytime Drama that I have been watching for more than 40 years.
First on my list is my absolute favorite couple:
| Bo Brady and Billie Reed |
| (Robert Kelker-Kelly and Lisa Rinna) |
Most people prefer Bo with Hope, but I much preferred him with Billie. Bo Brady taught former drug addict Billie the meaning of love and gave her much needed self-respect. Robert Kelker-Kelly and Lisa Rinna had the most amazing chemistry together. Unfortunately, the characters were recast (Peter Reckell returned as Bo, and Krista Allen-Morritt took over the role of Billie), and this couple was never the same. I have to admit that I enjoyed Julie Pinson as Billie, she had a way of reminding me both of Lisa and Krista.
My other favorites:
| Doug Williams and Julie Olson Banning |
One of my early favorites....I stayed home from school back in '76 to see their first wedding. They were on again/off again for a long time, but are now living happily ever after. |
| (Bill and Susan Seaforth Hayes) |
| Mike Horton and Trish Clayton |
| Another of my early favorites, I wish I could have found a picture of them together. Mike and Trish were such a cute couple. It broke my heart when they split up - she married Mike's cousin David after he got her pregnant. |
(Wesley Eure and Patty Weaver) |
| Don Craig and Marlena Evans |
They went through so much to be together, but circumstances drove them apart. I must confess that I never wanted her to be with Roman because I always wanted her to get back together with Don. |
| (Jed Allen and Deidre Hall) |
| Eugene Bradford and Trista Evans |
(John DeLancie and Barbara Crampton) |
Wacky inventor Eugene swept Marlena's sweet cousin Trista off her feet. They were married in Haiti, but Trista was murdered on their wedding night. |
| Neil Curtis and Liz Chandler |
Neil bought Doug's Place for Liz to showcase her vocal talent. He named it "Blondie's" after his pet name for her. |
| (Joseph Gallison and Gloria Loring) |
| Tony DiMera and Anna Fredericks Brady |
She was Roman Brady's wicked ex-wife, he was the son of Stefano DiMera. Somehow, they brought out the best in each other. Tony disappeared shortly after they were married, and Anna moved to Europe. It was recently discovered that Tony had been exiled to an uncharted island by his father Stefano, and that his evil identical cousin Andre had been impersonating him for more than 20 years. Tony returned to Salem and reunited with Anna. They remarried, but he was accidentally killed in 2009.
| (Thaao Penghlis and LeAnn Hunley) |
| Bo Brady and Hope Williams |
Yes....I will admit, I did like them together in the 80s. But after she "died", he fell in love with other women, including Billie Reed. When Hope returned, Bo and Hope never recaptured the magic, IMO. They've split up several times, but always manage to find their way back to one another. As of this writing, they are still together, even though Peter Reckell recently left the show. |
| (Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso) |
| Eugene Bradford and Calliope Jones |
These two were so much fun to watch....they gave new meaning to the words "romantic comedy"! |
| (John DeLancie and Arleen Sorkin) |
| Shane Donovan and Kimberly Brady |
The ISA agent met the former hooker and it was magic! This was truly one of the great daytime love stories. Even though they eventually split up, I always believed they were meant for each other, and recently they finally got back together!
| (Charles Shaughnessey and Patsy Pease) |
| Mike Horton and Ivy Jannings |
| He delivered her baby on his first day back in Salem. They dated, but weren't an official couple (I guess that's why there are no pictures of them together). Still, they would have been a good couple. |
(Holly Gagnier and Michael T. Weiss) |
| Steve "Patch" Johnson and Kayla Brady |
Bad boy Steve thought he wasn't good enough for Kayla, so he pushed her into marriage with his brother, Jack. But love won out, and Steve was finally united with his "Sweetness". Sadly, he was assumed killed shortly after the birth of their daughter. He returned to Salem many years later with no memory, but finally reunited with Kayla and their grown daughter Stephanie. They now have a son, Joey. Kayla is living in Salem again, and has filed for divorce from Steve, who rejoined the ISA. :-( |
| (Steve Nichols and Mary Beth Evans) |
| Justin Kiriakis and Adrienne Johnson |
How did the rich ladie's man nephew of Victor Kiriakis end up with the poor, sweet sister of Steve Johnson? He offered her his handkerchief when he found her crying on a park bench, and he fell head over heels in love. They went through great obstacles to be together, and moved to Texas with their large family of sons. Adrienne returned to Salem and bought The Cheatin' Heart, which is now a coffee house owned by Justin and Adrienne's son Jackson (Sonny). She and Justin were divorced, but have remarried. |
| (Wallace Kurth and Judi Evans-Luciano) |
| Mike Horton and April Ramirez |
Never mind Carrie, this is who Mike should have rode off into the sunset with! Mike and "Boom-Boom" were red-hot lovers, but split up when his ex-girlfriend Robin showed up in Salem with the son he never knew he had. |
| (Michael T. Weiss and Lisa Howard) |
| Julio Ramirez and Carrie Brady |
Awww....sweet puppy love - Romeo and Juliet style. His brother, Raul was a gang member who was killed by her policeman father*. Despite the ill-feelings between their families, they wanted to be together. Julio was Carrie's first boyfriend, and she once ran away from home to be with him. *Actually, it was John who killed Raul, but everyone thought he was Roman at that time. |
| (Michael Bays and Christie Clark) |
| Jack Deveraux and Jennifer Horton |
Daytime TV is full of stories of bad boys being reformed by true love, and Jack and Jennifer are one of the best examples. Fate (and other people) came between them, but they finally remarried. Jack and Jennifer moved to England with son Jack Jr. Daughter Abby eventually joined them there as well. Jennifer (And Abby) recently returned to Salem, minus Jack, who supposedly left Jennifer to go on a walkabout to find himself, but was actually being held hostage in Afghanistan. They finally reunited and were making plans to remarry when Jack was killed saving Abby from an elevator collapse.
| (Matthew Ashford and Melissa Reeves) |
| Austin Reed and Carrie Brady |
Austin and Carrie were meant for each other, but her rotten sister Sami wanted Austin for herself and did everything she could to split them up. Sadly, she finally succeeded. But not forever! After splitting with Mike Horton and a brief marriage to Lucas, Carrie and Austin finally remarried and moved to Switzerland. When last seen they were expecting their first child! |
| (Patrick Muldoon and Christie Clark) |
| John Black and Isabella Toscano |
John and his "Izzy B" had a wonderfully romantic, but ill-fated relationship. She gave birth to their son in the middle of their wedding ceremony, and then she died of cancer a few months later. |
| (Drake Hogestyn and Staci Greason) |
| Victor Kiriakis and Kate Roberts |
(John Aniston and Deborah Adair) |
I could not find a picture of these two together. Although Lauren Koslow has played the part longer, I liked Deborah Adair as Kate. Kate married Stefano DiMera (now divorced), and Victor married Maggie Horton. |
| John Black and Marlena Evans |
What can I say? John and Marlena literally set the tv screen on fire! They are true soulmates! Against all odds, they have defied all who tried to come between them, including the Devil! Both characters have had amnesia, both have been presumed dead, other men have wanted Marlena, and other women have wanted John, but nothing could keep them apart.
| (Drake Hogestyn and Deidre Hall) |
| Edmund Crumb and Susan Banks |
Not since Eugene and Calliope has there been such a wacky oddball couple. They fell in love at first sight, and their love defeated the evil Kristen. Last seen living happily ever after in England with Susan's son Elvis. Not sure what happened to them though, as it turns out Elvis (E.J. DiMera - who grew from baby to grown man in less than 10 years!) ended up being raised by his father Stefano. |
| (Adam Caine and Eileen Davidson) |
| Kurt Schwengel and Hope Williams |
Not a real couple...I just wanted an excuse to put a picture of Matt Mahaney on this page. The pic of them together is when she had amnesia and he tried to convince her that he was her husband. See pictures from Kurt's last day on the show. |
| (Matthew Mahaney and Kristian Alfonso) |
| Shawn (Douglas) Brady and Isabella "Belle" Black |
Almost, but not quite related, these two have known each other all their lives. And they turned out to be one very cute couple....until psycho nut job Jan Spears interfered. They're both now played by other people (Martha Madison and Brandon Beemer). Married Thanksgiving 2007, then Philip temporarily came between them. They are currently sailing the world with their daughter Claire.
| (Jason Cook and Kirsten Storms) |
| Rex Brady and Mimi Lockhart |
These two were just too cute for words. I really hoped that they'd find a way to stay together, but when Eric Winter left the show, Rex and Mimi were history. HEAVY SIGH!!!! |
| (Eric Winter and Farah Fath) |
| Lucas Roberts and Samantha "Sami" Brady |
First off....I gotta admit, Sami has never been one of my favorite characters. More like the character I always loved to hate. But I always thought she belonged with Lucas, going back to the early days when they were friends (she used to call him "General"). They finally married and Sami gave birth to twins, but thanks to E.J., they split up, but remained friends.
| (Bryan Dattilo and Alison Sweeney) |
Max Brady and Chelsea Brady

Max was adopted as a child by Chelsea's grandparents, and Chelsea was raised not knowing her real parents, so they didn't meet until they were grown. He was her first real boyfriend, but they broke up and dated other people. After he broke up with Stephanie, and she broke up with Nick, they finally found their way back to each other. Chelsea moved to London to be with her mother, Billie. Max soon joined her there. I could not find a decent picture of them together. |
| (Darin Brooks and Rachel Melvin) |
| Rafael "Rafe" Hernandez and Samantha "Sami" Brady |
They met when Sami was placed in witness protection while pregnant with her daughter Sydney. FBI man Rafe appointed himself Sami's hero and protector, first protecting her and her unborn baby from a hitman, then uncovering Nicole's baby switch and E.J's kidnapping of Sydney. He then helped cover up Sami's shooting of E.J, even when his own sister was killed trying to expose Sami. Rafe and Sami got married, but Stefano and E.J. kidnapped him and replaced him with an imposter. They split up because Sami slept with E.J. and lied about it for months. Now Sami is torn between Rafe and E.J. ... stay tuned!
| (Galen Gering and Alison Sweeney) |
| William "Will" Horton and Jackson "Sonny" Kiriakis |
Days Of Our Lives' first official gay couple! Sonny patiently waited for Will to come out of the closet, even then it took awhile for them to get together. They had to deal with the initial objections of Sonny's mother (Adrienne) and Will's dad (Lucas). Once it comes out that Will is the father of Gabi's baby, will their relationship be able to survive the secret that Will kept from Sonny? |
| (Chandler Massey and Freddie Smith) |
Just a note, I don't update this page as often as I should, so with the way things change on this show, information about characters may be outdated at times until I have time to correct it.
