Take the name of the Lord thy God in vain... what does it mean? When I was little, I was taught
that it meant swearing. I'm sure uses of the various names of God for anger aren't good, but is that what
this command meant? C. S. Lewis said in one of his books, I think it was the one about the Psalms, that
it probably didn't mean swearing at all, but people who use the name of God to validate what they tell other people.
"God told me to tell you that you need to treat me with more respect" etc., etc. Hmmm.
The sabbath? We go to church on Sundays. But Sunday isn't the Sabbath, Saturday is. And, yeah, I rest
on Saturday, but that's not honorable or holy. It's just me being lazy. Scratch that one.
