I remember being younger, not that long ago, and very self-righteous. I would say proudly that I didn't have a problem with the ten commandments. I didn't swear, I didn't steal, and my conscience never let me lie. Ha.

I woke up this morning and started thinking about those commandments and came to a humbling conclusion. I break every one of them, most of them on a day-to-day basis. The most basic of laws, and I can't even begin to comprehend living fully in their boundaries.

From memory:
i. Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.
ii. Thou shalt not make for yourselves any graven images.
iii. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
iv. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.
v. Honor your father and your mother, that your days will be long in the land your God has given you.
vi. Thou shalt not kill.
vii. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
viii. Thou shalt not steal.
ix. Thou shalt not bear false testimony against your neighbor.
x. Thou shalt not covet your neighbor's house or wife or donkey. (something like that...)
