I am honoured to able to call this LADY my TRUE FRIEND .
Gwen is a wonderful caring person . I first met her in a chat room it'll be neary 3 years ago now.
In october 2000 I had a prob with my hand I was in a lot of pain and very depressed ( still am LOL ). Little did I know I was about to recieve the BEST b/day present I could ever wish for .She phoned me and said "Get your flight booked lady your coming over here to stay with me for a while... no excuses i'm paying 1/2 to your ticket and she did too." .The day after my b/day I flew out to "MASSACHUSETTS"
I landed at Boston airport 3 hours late and Gwen had had a 4 hour drive from her home to meet me .I was greeted with a big smile big hug and and she said "Welcome to the states Kate."I knew from then on I was really going to enjoy my stay there .
When we got to her car I was greeted again by 2 more little friends Tuppy & Allie .
She'd even packed a picnic basket just in case I got hungry on the 4 hour jouney back to her house .
Gwen's a very busy lady she's in real estate ( estate agent)So the first few days I was there she had to work . I thought it was great as I got to go with her showing people round houses ment I could have a good nosey too... LOL. Boy there's some weird shaped house's in them there Berkshire Hill's .
We left for her little cottage in Cap Cod about 4 days later .Another lovely place (especialy the Oystermen LOL )We stayed there for a week .Then it was back home to spend my last few days in Berkshire.
She took me to lots of places and this may sound silly but my fav place was ..lol ..wait for it ......"Becket General Store". A tiny place were you could buy ANYTHING . At the back it had a counter where the old locals met for a snack and a chat . As we walk in EVERYONE at the counter said good morning to us . I couldn't believe this here in the UK they would't ever look at you .We went there a few time and always got the same greeting .
WELL all good thing come to a end and it was time for me to leave .So it was off on the 4 hour journey back to Boston . I said my bye's to Gwen Tuppy & Allie and walked into the airport like a lost soul. I cried all the way home on that plane .
I honestly didn't want to leave .
Well that will be 2 years ago this coming oct . She invite me back at least ONCE a week .Gwen the answer to your invite is in the music that now playing .
