| Ranma Saotome Age 16 height 6'0, 5'6 (girl form) On a training trip in China, Ranma's father Genma took him to Jusenkyo. During a strenuous excercise, Ranma knocked his dad into a spring. Shocked at seeing a panda in the place of his father, he is knocked into the cursed spring of drowned girl. Now whenever he is splashed with cold water he takes the form of a young girl. As if that wasn't bad enough, Genma drags Ranma back to Japan to betrothe him to one of his friend Soun's daughters. Soun's daughters; Nabiki and Kasumi unanimously choose tomboy Akane to marry Ranma. |

| It's bad enough to be betrothed to a stubborn un cute girl, but Ranma faces more problems than you can count! His first day of school he meets his first rival. Tatewaki Kuno- a duel master who's named himself the "Blue Thunder of Fureinkin High" challenges Ranma when he finds out she is taken. But by unfortunate circumstances, Ranma give Kuno the ultimate delema. By changing into girl form on accident, Kuno falls instantly for girl-type Ranma, but wants to destroy boy type Ranma. Kuno now has two he admires deeply and it drives him insane when he is confronted by them. Enter Ryoga Hibiki. Went to school with Ranma as a boy and was always beaten by Ranma when the last peice of bread was served at lunch. Unknowingly to Ranma and Genma, Ryoga is also knocked into a cursed spring. One know as the spring of drowned little black piglit. So whenever Ryoga is splashed with cold water he becomes a pig. |
