LOVE'S SUNSET 

                      Somewhere on the edge of night,
                      In the serenity my mind takes flight.
                      As the sun begins to set,
                      I call your name with sweet regret.
                      As the day turns into dusk,
                      I wonder why we lost our trust.
                      As the colors streak the sky,
                      I wonder if love has passed us by.

                      Why do all sweet things come to pass?
                      Why can't they ever seem to last?
                      Of only one thing am I sure,
                      Memories of us will long endure.
                      And things that I can not forget,
                      The serenity and beauty of our love's sunset.
                      I know that darkness has its way,
                      But tommorrow is another day.

                      I don't pretend to know God's plan,
                      But in the sunset I see his hand.
                      And am sure our love was meant to be,
                      Until days end or for eternity...
                      The sunset was glorious,the vision serene,
                      and a love more wonderous than what might be seen.
                      And like as my memories of the sun streaked sky,
                      Love in the heart will never die!!!
