Conclusion
My results seemed resonable up until resonstruction. I found it interesting that the Rock signal had the most content remaining after the compression was applied. I would attribute this to the loud volume and therefore higher power spectrum in rock music (compared to speech or classical music). Because of this elevated difference in power spectrum, the signal was above the threshold of hearing and therefore able to be retained more after compression was applied.
