Trying to survive
An up-to-date account of my first year teaching and coaching...
Entry for June 20, 2007
Guess a lot's changed. I'll be working in Hermann, MO (wine country). It seems as soon as I mailed my signed contract to Jamestown I got a call from Hermann, which is where I REALLY wanted last year. They're a great school! So, I'll be teaching upper level english at the high school (including some dual-credit classes) and coaching 7th grade volleyball. I'm especially happy that I'll still be doing volleyball, I think I'd miss it a lot if I didn't continue.

So, now I have to find a place to live. And, I have to find a place that allows cats. Andrew and Callina are moving to Arcada, CA (I think I might've spelled that wrong), and they don't think their cats would enjoy a teeny-tiny apartment. So, welcome to my life Ophelia and Antigone (who strangely enough they just call kitten).

So, at the moment I'm taking a summer class at Mizzou, playing volleyball, going to the gym...and not much else. It's scary how bored I get, but I guess I should enjoy it while I can. We're playing in Mudball '07 this weekend, it's a mud volleyball tournament to raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters. I think it'll be fun! And of course, we've got the Fireman's sand volleyball tournament coming up on the 4th.

Till next time...
