UNDERGRADUATE TEACHING
Participation in all of the courses offered in the Department of Medical Biochemistry for MBBCh and BDS II, Allied Medical Disciplines  and Pharmacy II, MBBCh III, BSc II, BSc III and BSc Hons degrees.

Experience with large groups as in the MBBCh classes (250 students) as well as with smaller, more informal groups  in BSc II and III (20-30 students) and BSc Hons (5-10 students).

Experience of teaching by means of lectures, tutorials, problem solving exercises, applied and practical question sessions: involved with setting and marking of multiple choice questions, applied and practical questions and problem solving exercises.

These duties have included general administration, selection of students, planning of curricula, setting of tests and examinations, day to day running of courses and dealing with student queries and problems.

Extensively involved with Curriculum Review in the Medical Faculty; member of Faculty Curriculum Review Committee, Chairman of the First, Second and Third Year Curriculum Committee, member of Committee of Chairs.

Specific assignments

MBBCh III Third Year Working Party 1986 - 1999: Chairman 1989 � 1996
In charge of the overall organisation and planning of the Third Year Medical Course.
Involved with curriculum review and with the introduction of a core and selectives system in 1992, as well as with further modifications to the curricular structure introduced in 1995.

Molecular and Cell Biology Selective Course for MBBCh III
Responsible for the overall organisation, planning and coordination of a new and exciting course first offered in 1992. The course comprises contributions from Anatomy, Haematology, Human Genetics, Microbiology and MedicalBiochemistry.

Course Coordinator for BSc II 1992 � 1998
This course was first offered independently in 1992. Responsible for the initial planning, subsequent implementation and organisation of teaching of the new course.

Course Coordinator for BSc III 1983 � 1998
Responsible for the overall planning and running of this course.
Course Coordinator for BSc Hons 1984 � 1990
Responsible for the overall planning and running of this course.
