Once upon a time, in the far-away land of my imagination, I envisioned a new life for our Lovely Lady in which she would love again and be loved as never before. And so, Royce Wardell was created. Then I found that the overflow of their love and devotion might be shared, and in a deserted line shack, a baby girl drew her first breath. Rescued from death in the arms of her mother, she came to the arms of Victoria and Royce, and a family was born.

The story possibilities for this new family unit were, I found, endless. As I wrote one story, the idea for another cropped up. After awhile, I decided that these stories needed a home of their own, and so The Kate Chronicles came into being. New stories will be added regularly.

If you find they bring a tear�or a chuckle�or a sentimental sigh�or, if a story brings back some warm but long-buried memory�I am gratified.
