THE AUTHOR

EMMA PARKER BA PhD (Birmingham).

Dr Parker specialises in contemporary women writers and feminist literary theory. She has published articles on Margaret Atwood, Toni Morrison, Angela Carter, Michèle Roberts, Christina Rossetti, and on women, food and fiction.

She is a reader for Feminist Review, Palgrave, Pearson Education, and Ashgate Press. She contributed to The Cambridge Guide to Women's Writing in English ed. Lorna Sage (1999), and organised a conference on Contemporary British Women Writers at the University of Leicester in 2000. She is preparing a book called Contemporary Women’s Writing and French Feminist Theories.

Dr Parker teaches English at the University of Leicester.
