More photos of Kate and Ben in the Gambia - one month later
Apparently, some people think the picture of Ben on the beach the first week proves that only Ben relaxes at the beach, while Kate is busy saving the world.  Well, this just in, photographic proof that we both need to relax after a long day crossing cultures and battling the heat - Here's Kate, caught in the act!
This picture is for all those who:

- Didn't believe us when we said our house is green!

- Need proof that Ben is on a diet (but you can see he still has a lot of work to do)!

- Disparage his handyman or Mr. Fixit skills around the house (such as his Mother)!  His home repair skills are now the talk of the whole compound, perhaps you can see why!

- Think a little skin improves a web site!

- Wonder if it's really as hot as we say it is over here (I was dripping when this photo was taken, hence the sparse attire!
We're very popular with the locals, especially the kids!  They all want to try out their school English or French on us, and seem surprised at our clumsy attempts in their local languages.  And they are very eager to be photograpphed (as you can see).  We met these kids on the beach while walking across the "border" into Senegal - totally unmarked where we were.  The women bent over in the ocean in the background are harvesting shell fish for food or to sell in the market.  Their quarry look a bit like clams, but have a much more colorful shell.
