I don't have many special preferences. I collect those postcards which are somehow connected with the place sender lives. Usually I ask for city, country or nature view, with the name of a place written in front. But I realise that there's many cards which are very beautiful but they are not named. They are ok too.
Besides I like views of people in they unique and characteristic culture's habits.
I like single views the most but multi views are preferable as well (but not too mulit :)

I don't like free rack cards nor crackel barrels from USA. Anlimals only for special occasions and only for my own wish.

And I think that's all about my preferences.
One day I decided to collect a single postcard from every country of the world. It was because I had an idea to show my collection to a public. Of course only if I manage to finish my project.

It was almost 2 years ago. And belive me, I haven't achived even a half yet. But it doesn't matter. My first idea isn't as important as it was at the beginning. Now I know that the best advantage in collecting is not getting more and more postcards but getting more and more friends among senders. That's all...
