OK, so it's been months and months since I've updated my bookmarks. The X-Files has ended and Stargate: SG-1 has become my sci-fi obsession, and I've moved across the country to go to college, and joined the SCA. Thus major changes to the links. Stargate Things

Ooh, author recommendations-- how to pick just a few? Most of these are S/J ship.
Alli Snow writes great romance, angst, action, everything.
Angel Girl has a lot of short fics and some medium-sized ones; be sure to check out her hilarious episode commentaries.
Denise writes really good action and angst, leaning toward gen rather than romance.
Gunfodder writes great romance and action; more of her stories are on fanfic.net.
Jojo! I love Jojo: she is tied for my favorite author. She writes such funny, shippy, sexy fic that it makes me squeal!
Jo R. writes nice angsty romances, with lots of parts and sequels, a nice long read.
Michelle V hasn't written much yet, but she's really good, and really funny, especially the parodies.
Sally Reeve is the queen of the long, angsty romance with a happy ending. One of the first (and still best) authors I found.
SelDear writes a wide variety of stories, leaning towards team-focused gen.
Shane has a lovely collection of delicious smut.
Sue Corkill specializes in mid-length romance, with a nice side of smut.
SuzVoy is the other half of my tie for favorite author. Lots of hilarious, sexy vignettes, and (best of all) smut!

More good places to go...
GateWorld is the place to go for news, spoilers, episode guides, etc. Darren is amazing.
Heliopolis is the definitive Stargate fanfic archive. Be sure to check out its sister archives for adult and slash stories.
The Sam/Jack Directory is the archive for the biggest S/J mailing list; full of a wide range of stories.
The Stargate Novel Archive is great for a (really long) rainy day.
Jackfic has a great collection of stories, and is also useful for its screencaps, transcripts, and photo galleries.
Stargates.tk has episode downloads in case of tragedies such as your VCR eating the tape, or (gasp!) the UK getting eps before the US.
Whatever Dials Your Gate is a very exhaustive listing of music videos, which have got to be the greatest thing since the internet.
Kitty's Cartoons are hilarious, well-drawn, S/J cartoons.

SCAdian Things

I live in the Shire of Anglespur, next to the Barony of Concordia, in the East Kingdom of the Knowne World. When I go home in the summer I live in the Barony of Twin Moons in the Kingdom of Atenveldt.

I'm big on sewing garb, and The Costume Page and Milieux have a ton of links to get started. Since I tend to be rather obsessive about my garb, I go straight to Drea Leed, the be-all and end-all of Elizabethan costuming, or Sempstress, who runs a close second.

Sluggy Freelance The world's coolest, funniest webcomic.
Cockeyed.com Funny guy with wacky projects, pranks, science experiments, eBay auctions, and hours of other stuff.
The Straight Dope Everything you ever wanted to know but didn't ask because it sounded like a stupid question.
The Interactive Schrodinger's Cat Fun to click on, and even slightly educational.
Hang the Alien Hours of quotable XF entertainment.
Diandra is the bestest best friend ever, and she has cool poetry on her enviably pretty site.
