The Realistic Training Approach!
Puppy Training class (Level 1). 6 Week class. Cost $65.00. Prerequisite: First two rounds of vaccinations. Required equipment: 4'-6' foot leash- Cloth or leather (prefer leather), Buckle cloth or leather collar. Treats and a training toy. Optional Equipment: Martingale collar or gentle leader.
For dogs age 2 months to 6 months and small dogs with little previous training and no aggression problems. Learn commands and manners, as well as �off leash� training. Includes some tricks, Rally-O, and agility.
Basic Training Class (Level 2). 6 Week Class. Cost $75.00. Prerequisite: Current Vaccinations. Required equipment: 4'-6' foot leash Cloth or leather (prefer leather), Buckle cloth or leather collar. Treats and a training toy. Optional Equipment: Martingale collar or gentle leader.
For all dogs Ages 5 months and up (it�s never too late). Previous training not required (because of small class size and individual help). Ok for dogs with some previous training (basic sit, down, come). Learn all basic commands and manners and �off leash� training. . Includes some tricks, Rally-O, and agility.
Intermediate/Advanced Training Class. (Level 3 or 4). 6 Week class. Includes Canine Good Citizens test. Cost $75.00. Prerequisite: Level 1, 2 or 3 training class. 55.00 for past students/graduates. Required equipment: Varies by level and individual dog. Treats and a training toy.
For dogs that know the basics, need a refresher course, or just want to learn more. Includes some tricks, Rally-O, and agility
Private training. For all levels of training and in home problem solving. Cost and availability vary. Includes behavior evaluation and temperament testing for individual dogs or puppy litters. $20hr includes my travel time.
For a small fee I will research breeders and try to find one with the perfect dog for you.
Shelter Dog Evaluation:
If you are attempting to decide if you should adopt a dog from the shelter I will do a temperament evaluation on a few dogs for you Fee: Free. I will however charge Mileage if the shelter is not close to me.
Litter Evaluations:
Temperament testing for a litter of puppies: $20 per hr (about 6 puppies). Any potential puppy owners will receive a coupon for a discount on training classes.
Included in your training:
Command list: Sit, down, stand, stay, wait, come, leave-it, take-it, give-it, with me (heel), settle.
Manners list: Wait at doors, no jump (off), go lay down, get off (get down).
Continuing education: distance (recall and stay), duration (all commands), distraction (all, but mostly with stay, wait, and heel).
Other information: affects of exercise, nutrition, and socialization.
Behavior problem information: (varies with each class) destructive, barking, house soiling, digging, running off (escapes).
Packet of information. Packet of methods, problem solving help, and articles.
Just for fun: Introduction to some agility and Rally-O obstacles. Introduction to trick training with demonstrations Advanced class: will include beginner competition training for obedience and conformation shows.
*Senor Citizens, handicapped, and other special needs people or dogs are always welcome in my training classes- just keep me posted on how you or your dog are doing. The advances classes are a faster pace class and may not be for everyone.
Classes are always taught with positive methods, but methods vary with each individual dog and owner. Class size is limited to help each student succeed. Discounts are offered for multiple dogs and return students.
