That would be my attempts to find some solid documentation on Ukrainian clothing in medieval times. The first problem I encountered was the idea that the clothing of the Ukraine was the same as that in medieval Russia... well maybe - but... and I have no evidence what-so-ever to back this doubt up (aside from a gut feeling) ... I don't think so.

    So I've been trying to learn Ukrainian so I can read the material on the subject. And how's that going you might ask?.... ummm, well slow as molasses in January. Lets just say I have very little aptitude for English (my birth tongue) let alone another language.

    The things I've found so far are one book in English called _ _ _ _ (I need to look up the title). And some pictures sent to me by the museum _ _ _ _ _ (again I need to look up the name). I hope to be able to take a trip to the Ukraine and visit family and find out more in a couple of years. In the meantime, some of the pictures are here.
