This is another typical encounter with a Scentura distribution company. It is further proof that any new applicant will not only have to dedicate almost all of their time to selling perfume, they will have to invest much of their own money without seeing most of it in returns.

I started in August of 2001. I am not one to quit anything so I stuck it out
until I could not afford to continue. I was out of town at least 3 days a
week. I did not get compensated for gas or the many miles I put on my car.
Every time we went out of town I drove. I put nearly all of my expenses on my
credit cards. The most I ever took home in a week was $200. I began to feel
brainwashed and started to alienate my friends and family. On several
occasions I ran into the police and had to lie and say "I didn't know that I
needed a business license for this town." I was told to tell people that they
were "testers" and that I only had a few left. Worse I had to sell them to my
friends and family. I was yelled at and told I was every horrible name you can
think of if I did not perform well on a particular day. There was a trip to
the regional office in Burmingham, AL called "Opportunity Knocks". While we
stayed in a low class hotel (where a woman was raped the first night we were
there) our branch owners stayed in a nice hotel. Shortly after that, the
branch owners left me in charge of the office for a few days. When friday came
around, it was pouring down rain. Still we went out and peddeled our perfume.
Needless to say, the office didn't produce that great of numbers and they were
furious. When they returned, they accused me of stealing. First it was money
and then when that was cleard up, it was the perfume...somewhere in the area
of 300 bottles of it. When I finally left in September, I decided just not to
show up.Big Mistake!! One of the owners came to my house and accused me again
of stealing then called me names and embarrassed me in front of my family.
So, thats my story. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help get
these people shut down. Also, I am curious to know the details of your story.
If you get a chance, please fill me in. Thank You.
Andrea
