One And Thirty
The goal of this card game is to be the player closest to thirty-one points without going over. The first player to reach thirty-one points exactly is automatically the winner.
Betting
All players ante up one token into the pot. The winning player gets the pot. No other betting occurs.
Points
Regular cards are their numbers (the seven of hearts = 7 points)
Face cards are 10 points
Aces are either 1 or 11 points. Multiple aces must have the same value; they cannot be mixed. For example, two aces can be 2 points or 22 points but never 12 points.
Play
- Each player is dealt three cards face-down.
- The dealer asks each player (the dealer goes last) if he wants to "stick" or "have it". If the player says, "Stick" then the dealer goes to the next person. If the person says, "Have it" then the dealer deals him one card face-up. The player can then either "stick" or "have it" again. Once the player says "Stick" then the dealer goes to the next person.
- If a player has over thirty-one points then he is out.
- When everyone (including the dealer) has said "Stick" or is out, the cards are turned over. The player closest to thirty-one points wins the pot.
