This is where I name ten things, usually in the order that I like them. Please note that my opinion is subject to change. Enjoy!

Top Ten Movies of 2004

1. Meet the Fockers- I don't think I've ever laughed more watching a movie....

2. The Bourne Supremacy- Saw this one with Annica after I saw The Bourne Identity. It was very good, and I still can't decide which Bourne movie I liked better. I think I cried a little at the end.

3. Osama- Heart-renching, with a very sad ending. Even if the girl didn't know how to act like a boy- well, see the movie. Kleenex may be needed.

4. Spider-Man 2- Much better than the first Spider-Man!

5. A Series of Unfourtuanate Events- Sticks faithfully to the nature of the books, in my point of view.

6. The Incredibles- Wasn't as good as Monsters, Inc. and Finding Nemo, but as Pixar fan this movie still held up to expectations. Amazing graphics, too.

7. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind- It was sort of an odd movie, but it left an impression. The Truman Show is better, but the two are also seemingly different movies. Another good movie of Jim Carrey's.

8. Dodgeball- Lauren's view: "Random, but very funny." And it was. I don't think it's funny when the coach/mentor of the team all the sudden dies, sort of like in Happy Gilmore, but Ben Stiller was very funny, in a sort of scary way when I compare him to roles in other movies. And this movie is quotable, too. (" Timmy, you're in an opium den!", "If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball.", etc.)

9. Shrek 2- You could tell it was trying to be better than Shrek, but it seemed to be for the most part. Less magic, but in the words of Metta: "Antonia Banderas saved Shrek 2."

10. Princess Diaries 2- Hey, it's totally a chick flick, but not only was it much better than the first, it was also much better than the books, which are mostly really stupid. Also, I'm being pretty considerate, since there are many chick flicks out there that suck big time.

And.....Movies I have yet to see from this year: Ocean's Twelve, Big Fish, Howl's Moving Castle(which I don't believe is availible in the U.S. yet), Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind/Wind Valley, according to Time magazine (It is being released!), Garden State, Seinfield on DVD- hey, can't go wrong there...., The O.C.- first season on DVD (I seriously need to catch up.), King Arthur, The Collateral- looks interesting, "The Forgotten- also looks interesting, Troy- c'mon, Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom in his finest, Finding Neverland, The Terminal, The Life Aquatic (But I've heard it's not worth seeing...so I'm torn.), Hero and House of Flying Daggers- because Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was awesome.), and Hotel Rwanda.

And what with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the trailer is kind of...bizarre) and The Ring 2(wtf? the ring wasn't scary, people), Star Wars Episode III (fine, as long as the cheesy love scenes are taken out), The Pink Panther, and Miss Congenialty 2 coming out soon, I'm going to cross my fingers.
