This is basically a list of stupid things people have said about GC. I've also written a response to each of the comments. The responses are in pink.
Good Charlotte are just a boy band with spikes - They are NOT a boy band. Boy bands don't play their own instuments, don't write their own songs, and don't even sing most of the time. Boy bands also do stupid dance routines and are more bothered about looking good than music. Good Charlotte are most definately not a boy band.
'The Young and The Hopeless' chorus sounds a lot like 'Lifestyles Of The Rich and Famous' - They don't sound the same. It's just GC's musical style. All artist's songs sound similar because of their style. Slipknot's songs all sound similar, Linkin Park's songs all sound similar, Coldplay's songs all sound similar, Westlife's songs all sound similar, Britney's songs all sound similar. That's how music works. If artist's songs didn't sound similar then fans wouldn't like a lot of the music.
They're only here to 'entertain' by looking pretty and miming the songs that someone else has written for them. - They write their own songs, they play their own songs. Simple.
Good Charlotte's style is colourful, quirky and cute. - Colourful being always wearing black, and cute being playing songs about murder.
Good Charlotte are corporate nobodies, manufactured for profit. - They're not manufactured. They were doing gigs way before record companies were interested. They worked their own way up to the top.
Benji has the silliest hair in rock. - Benji has the coolest hair in rock.
'Girls don't like boys, girls like cars and money. Boys will laugh at girls when their not funny' isn't that all a bit sexist? - It's not sexist coz it's slagging of both sexes. It's stereotypical, not sexist.
Good Charlotte...Erm, sorta punk boy band. - There's no such thing as a punk boy band.
Good Charlotte, they used to be good, but now they're sorta going down. - They haven't changed, they've just got more recognized. So being recognized must automatically make them not good anymore.
Good Charlotte blow. - They don't blow. Not liking a band does not mean they are bad, it just means they're not to your liking.
They're just another pop-punk band, their songs aren't bad, just nothing special. - They may just be another 'pop-punk' band, but their songs mean a hell of a lot more to people than most band's songs. Good Charlotte's songs save people's lives, I'd say that's pretty damn special!
