Not your typical Florida Decor, I decorated this home in Earth tones, rich textures and a few animal prints. The walls are faux-finished to give them a rustic look and the floors are done in wood laminate which really warms up the place. Which such high ceilings it's sometimes hard to acheive a warm and cozy atmosphere.
Although this photo doesn't do it justice, my "Bobcat" is my pride and joy! The walls are very irregular in this room so "square art" was out of the question. SO...I had this beautiful Florida Bobcat painted into a plantshelf. Although you can't see the depth in this photo, there are also rocks, plants and uplighting which gives the whole scene a beautiful look at night.
Detail of crackle finish that surrounds the fireplace wall! Cool!
Step into my Dining Room
A two sided marble faced fireplace separates the dining room from the living room. When it's 85 degrees here and you want atmosphere...you turn up the air conditioning and light the fireplace...hehe! Our table is very large and I love to cover it with terrific food, good wine and surround it with good friends and laughter.
A small service bar with a built in wine cave fills a empty corner right off the dining room, but has become invaluable when entertaining a crowd.
