| Free Women are welcomed in camp, but they must know their place. And Free Men also need to know what is acceptable and what is not for a Free Woman. ALL women on Gor, whether slave or Free, are subservient to Men. The smartest FW on ALL of Gor still must defer to the stupidest FM on Gor. Here are some general rules for FWs: FWs should offer to serve FMs if the slaves are not present or are busy. FWs should do chores in camp, such as cooking, mending, etc. In fact, nearly any chore appropriate for a slave is appropriate for a FW. Like the slaves, a Kassar South FW is not LAZY. FWs should not comment on matters that are being discussed by FMs. If she feels she can add to the conversation, she should ask permission to speak first. If her comments are not received well, she should then shut up. FWs may collar and brand slaves, but ONLY if NO FMs are around. If there are FMs around, even if they are of a lower level, the FW should defer to them. FWs should gather the slaves up and get them to the servery in times of trouble. They should NOT try to involve themselves in the trouble by speaking their mind. They should be quiet and let the Men deal with it. FWs MAY use weapons to protect the camp, herself and slaves BUT ONLY when the Men are NOT in camp or are so out numbered that the FWs help is needed. FWs should not post unpleasant messages to or about V/visitors, whether FM, FW or slaves. Doing so could cause problems in camp and it is not an FWs place to cause problems. FWs may NOT travel unescorted, no exceptions. FWs should be respectful at all times. This include not "looking" when she disagrees with what an FM has posted, not trying to correct an FM, etc. As in the case of slaves, we know there is a real person behind the keyboard. There are times she will disagree with an FM. Any such discussion should take place in pms or on icq, NEVER IN PUBLIC, and any such discussion should end immediately if the FM orders it to stop. FWs should not engage in sexual activities with any but their FC. This includes furring in pms. FWs who are caught doing this may be collared by any in camp. This also includes flirting, having an inappropriate av, etc. An FW who is FCed may show some tenderness toward her FC in camp, such as kissing his cheek, etc., but even this should be kept to a minimum. A FW who is pregnant and not FCed is subject to a collar. FWs who become pregnant (and are FCed) should keep comments about her pregnancy to a minimum and should have only one baby (there was only ONE instance of twins being mentioned in the books -- multiple births are strictly disney) FWs who own slaves should take them to the wagons if they wish to fur them. FWs of the rank of FWA or FWE or with personally owned male slaves are allowed use of slaves, ONLY in the privacy of their wagons. FWs should NOT comment on any FM furring, nor should she through her actions indicate in anyway she does not approve of it. FWs ARE allowed to watch sensuous dances and appreciate them. FWs who get angry and go to their wagons or leave camp may be disciplined. While some FW actively seem to dislike slaves, even going so far as to torment them when their Owners are not around, or to behave toward them in a rather cold and callous manner. Understand, though, that not only is such behavior perceived as mere jealousy on the part of the free woman involved and in some cases suggests that the free woman herself envies the position of the slave in question. The kajirae are expected to treat FW humbly at all times, as they would any other freeperson. Finally, FWs can be disciplined, and this does NOT always mean a kolar. In fact, any FM who wants to collar a Kassar FW must have the Ubars or Camp Seconds permission to do so. Otherwise, FWs can be spanked, caged, caned, etc., just like slaves. However this is done with permission of the Ubar, Camp Second, Commander of 1000, or the FWs personal FC.) While this USUALLY is done in private to avoid undue embarrassment for the FW, it CAN be done in public if the infraction is severe enough. However, Men, consider carefully before you punish an FW in public. Having to do so shows the rest of the world that our FWs get out of line and that is not necessarily something we want to broadcast. |
