| Orientation One General Information |
| Greetings. Welcome to the orientation for Frees. This series of discussions is designed to give you a general introduction to camp and how it works. If you have not done so already, you must send an email into [email protected] and [email protected] stating that you have joined the camp. You will not be put on the membership role until you do so and cannot assume any of the privileges of a camp member until you are on the membership role. In that email include your Gorean name, any slaves that you owned before joining Kassar South AND what you are bringing with you, and declare up to five weapons (they MUST be wagon peoples weapons!). Once this information is received, you will be put on the membership list, assigned a wagon and given a Kassar South financial account so you can start trading with other GC members. You may also want to be able to post on the Kassar South Message Boards. You can find those on the website. Information for chores and activities is here http://www.geocities.com/kassarwagoncamp/chores.html (the Chores section of the site) You are expected to post details of your chores and activities on the appropriate board. Please make certain that you read the message boards, before coming to camp each day. Policy and rules changes are posted there. It is your responsibility to keep yourself up to date and informed on any changes. Being Free means you have a great deal of autonomy, but as in any society, there are some rules that must be followed. These include: *You may have only one name in Gor. If it is discovered that you are using more than one name, you will be banished from the camp and possibly GorChat. *In Kassar South the rule is simple, if You are Kassar You are Kassar. There is NO need to travel to other sites PERIOD. Every time you go to a different site, you help build that site's numbers while you take away from our numbers. GorChat is a relatively new site and if the members do not spend their time on GorChat, it will eventually be closed down. Should travel be necessary to another GorChat room, it will be either cleared by the Ubar, Camp Second, or a Commander of 1000.) *If you travel from room to room on GC, you must go through the plains or the forest or the plains and the thassa sea to get to the next room. There are a certain number of posts you must make (check the plains and forest entry pages). If you are in one room when you sign off, you must start from that room when you come back. *Free Women are NOT to travel alone. Any Kassar South FW found traveling the plains/forest alone is likely to be collared. *All M/member free and slave do however use the plains program devised by the Ubar and must do so at least ten times a month...for at least 15 minute periods. You are to make 12 posts as an animal of gor...(You may read up on the animals at website)(unless a FM and FM may enter plains as a Rider to hunt the game found there for Kassar South). You must take a name such as "Tina the tarsk" and post as if a real tarsk. In the event a Rider comes to hunt You, You must make it authentic and realistic as if a real animal being hunted. You can read more on the plains board to help You, and also a full description of rules. This is a wonderful program for the FM to hone up on use of weaponry, riding skills and hunting and can really help us in knowing the beasts of gor. So please make an effort to do the plains program to inhance Your gorean adventure in Kassar South. *Once you have a slave, you may not restrict her use (except very temporarily and for a reason approved of by the Ubar), etc. This is a Gorean camp and the girls are used by everyone. If you can't bear to have your slave used by others, you don't belong here. *In general, Frees don't punish other people's slaves. However, any Commander of 1000 or 100, Free Woman Advisor or Free Woman Extraordinaire, the Ubar or Camp Second may punish any slave that is NOT in trainging when disruptive. Slaves who misbehave may chained, gagged or placed in the slavebox as punishment; they may NOT be caged. *The Ubar has implemented the use of slaveboxes; this is an extreme punishment. The boxes are very small and restrict movement; they have a few small vents for air and a larger opening for food and drink. They are basically sound-proof and designed to be hot during the day and cold at night. While in the box, the girl can do nothing, she can't post, can't pm, when she needs to leave camp she must rap on the box three times. If a slave earns this punishment, it will be for a minimum of 3 days. NO exceptions. *New slaves in camp are given a {KSP} collar. This means they are to spend their time showing the Ubar and Camp that they are worthy of training. After doing so, the collar will change to {KST}. This means that they are in training. There are several trainers in camp who will take care of the KST's training. You are NOT to attempt to instruct KST's yourself, nor may you punish a KST. If a KST misbehaves, report her actions to a trainer, Camp Second or the Ubar. KST slaves are not encouraged to show heat while in training, during thier serves of food and drink. KST slaves when not in training sessions or serving may attend chores, either given to them by a Free, a trainer or of nessesity.) *You may not pm a KST slave, nor ask her to add you to ICQ without the Ubar's or Camp Second's permission. *KST slaves may NOT be furred, touched, fondled, sat on your lap, etc. *You are encouraged to talk to KST's (in public) so that you can get to know them and decide if you want to buy them when they come up for sale (slaves up for sale have a {KS} collar and will be sold at auction). It is a good idea to find out generally when a KST is online so you will know if your times will be compatible. *Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you discuss actually buying a slave with the slave. It is not acceptable to ask the slave if she would like to be owned by you, it is not acceptable to talk to the slave about owning her in any way. Doing this is a serious offense and can result in your being banished from Kassar or even killed. *Free Women, while enjoying the privileges of freedom, still must defer to Men in All cases. FW are NOT to comment when FM are having a discussion (unless the FW is ASKED for her opinion), are not to correct an FM in public (although she may send a respectfully worded pm to an FM if she sees something, however, if the FM chooses to ignore her advice, she should stop there), are not to flounce off to their wagons and slam the door when they get angry, are not to glare, shrug, etc. to a FM. Free Women are subject to correction (including spankings, whippings and even enslavement) from Free Men (Ubar, Camp Second, Commander of 1000, or the FW's FC) and they should act accordingly. *While a FM CAN collar a FW in Kassar South, collaring a Kassar FW requires the permission of the Ubar or Camp Second. Generally, Goreans do not collar the FWs from their own homestone. However, if you think the offense is serious enough to warrant it, the cage the FW until you can speak to the Ubar or Camp Second. *Honor is paramount in this camp. Honor includes many things, but specifically includes standing by your fellow Kassars through thick and thin. If you have a problem with another Kassar, try to resolve it -- but KEEP your problems in pm. If you can't resolve the problem, go to the Camp Second for help and if he can't help, go to the Ubar. But in all cases, do NOT let it grow into an ugly public scene. You are not going to like everyone in camp; you are not going to approve of what everyone in camp does. However, it is important that at least in public, Kassar South presents a united front. *Babies, while tolerated, are not to become a focal point in camp. FCed Couples, are however encouraged to remain CHILDLESS. If an FCed couple becomes pregnant, keep the talk of the pregnancy to a minimum. And please, limit the number of babies. For some reason, pregnancy has turned totally disney, with women whelping out litters of five and six children. There was ONE case of twins reported in the Norman's books. If you have a pregnancy, limit it to ONE baby. AND, once the baby is born, it is to stay in your wagon. You are NOT to enlist the slaves to take care of the baby. In other words, keep the baby talk to pms between you and your partner. *Free Women, once you FC you must stayed FC'd for three months, Gorean time frame. This results in a "Earthen" rt year. The only way for an FW to break an FC contract is to become collared -- so make VERY sure that you really want to be with a certain FM for that period of time. Also, it is the FW's responsibility to get the FC contract filed with the camp. Failure to have it filed within two days of the FC ceremony means you are living as a slut and opened to being collared. *Sometimes people really do die in GC. If you die, everything you own (including your slaves) will go to the Ubar, UNLESS you have filed a will BEFORE your death. This applies even if you are FCed. So, get your wills filed. *Sometimes rt will mean that you will be unable to come to camp for an extended period of time. When that happens, you are expected to send an email to camp letting the Ubar know this. Frees who are gone from camp more than 7 days without notifying the Ubar by email will have their slaves considered abandoned and placed in either KS ko-lars or sold at the Ubar's discretion. |
