Camerius: the third month of the Gorean calendar (in Ar and some other cities).

En'Kara (from En'Kara-Lar-Torvis, lit. 'first turning of the central fire'): the first month of the Gorean calendar, that of the vernal equinox, which is the Gorean new year; roughly equivalent to the Urth calendar month of March. The Fair of En' Kara takes place between June 19th and June 28th. (see also: Sadar Fairs)

En'Var (from En'Var-Lar-Torvis, lit. 'first resting of the central fire'): the fourth month of the Gorean calendar, that of the summer solstice, roughly equivalent with the Urth calendar month of June. The Fair of En'Var takes place between March 21st and March 30th. (see also: Sadar Fairs)

hand: the Gorean week, consisting of five Urth days

Kajuralia (lit. 'holiday of slaves'): a festival, similar to the Feast of Fools, is which slaves trade places with their masters and have much freedom to play tricks on free persons; celebrated in most cities on the last day of the 12th Passage Hand, but in Ar and some other cities on the last day of the 5th month, the day before the Love Feast
Love Feast: common name for the 5th Passage Hand, occuring in late summer, which time is the greatest period for the sale of slaves, esp. slavegirls.

Sardar Fairs: huge fairs held 4 times each year at the foot of the Sardar Mountains; they coincide with the equinoxes and solstices (En'Kara, En'Var, Se'Kara, and Se'Var). During the Fair, the area is neutral territory: no one may be enslaved at the Fair (though slaves captured elsewhere may be sold), and no blood may be spilled. the fair serves as a trading point for information and merchandise; every Gorean is required to visit the fair at least once before the age of 25. Se'Kara (from Se'Kara-Lar-Torvis, lit. 'second turning of the central fire'): the seventh month of the gorean calendar, that of the autumnal equinox, roughly equivalent to the Urth calendar month of September. The Fair of Se'Kara takes place between September 22nd and October 1st.

Selnar: the third month of the gorean calendar (in Ko-ro-ba and some other cities)

Se'Var (from Se'Var-Lar-Torvis, lit. 'second resting of the central fire'): the tenth month of the Gorean calendar, that of the winter solstice, roughly equivalent with the Urth calendar month of December. The Fair of Se'Var takes place between December 21st and December 30th.

Tola, Feast of: the Priest-King festival celebrating the anniversary of the Nuptial Flight of the Mother.

Tolam, Feast of: the Priest-King festival celebrating the anniversary of the Deposition of the First Egg.

Tolama, Feast of: the Priest-King festival celebrating the anniversary of the Hatching of the First Egg.

waiting hand: the 5-day period between the 12th Passage Hand and the beginning of the new near, which begins on the vernal equinox.
