Drew, my sweetheart
For you, my love...
Dorm Room Romance
Well, baby, it's been a long hard fight for us to even get as far as we have, hasn't it?  We've run helter skelter for years now without really acknowledging how tough we've had it or how good we could be.  The emotions weren't the problem.  We accepted that we loved each other, out loud even, years ago.  YEARS AGO.  But it didn't stop things from collapsing on us anyway, did it?
So, here it is, over four years since we met, and over a year since we called off the engagement, and we're back together.  And even now that things are going so well, it seems that everyone's holding their breath expecting us to fail.  But we'll show them won't we?  *grin*
For those of you who don't know the story, I'll sketch a brief outline.  Drew and I met in August of 1999 during our Freshman Orientation at Our Lady of the Lake University.  At the time, he was dating a girl from home and we were friends in a group of four friends which included another girl and guy.
I don't really know why we became friends other than we reminded each other of home.  He was from Kansas, I from Arizona, and San Antonio, Texas seemed very foreign.  Around my birthday (once again, October 6th!) he and his girl broke up.  It was a month later (the week before Thanksgiving) that my beloved Granddaddy passed away.  The weekend before Thanksgiving, we were at my other Grandparents house (the four of us) and Drew and I were basically forced together via Truth & Dare.  A week later, over Thanksgiving break (Nov 25) we started dating.
We were together a year and four months when, in Tucson over Spring Break, he proposed.  We were engaged!  It was obviously a big deal.  However, a year and nine months after that, we broke up.  There were a lot of problems.  Feelings weren't one of them.
So we skip a head to January 17, 2004 when, just recovering from pneumonia and the first week of my last semester in college, I get a phone call.  From Drew.  And we talked for 4 hours.  He wanted me back.  I was a little...wary...but open.  The next day we talked for five hours and were officially together again.
He bought be a ticket to go visit him over Valentine's Day weekend and ta da!  we've been together going on two months (this time) and things are so much better than they were the first time.  And so...here you go baby!  A page just for you (well, us, I guess).

I LOVE YOU!
