Kenn Kweder
  Performance Artist
Philadelphia was quite a hotbed of creativity in the '70s. It had it's hot artist neighborhood, South Street, which was crawling with artists of every stripe. Kenn Kweder was one of them. He noticed that rock stars were more rich and famous than performance artists, and decided to recast himself as a rock star. He and his band were actually pretty good, and he put on a rather sophisticated show. His cover rendition of Helter Skelter, the Manson Family theme song, during which this shot was taken, was quite a stirring performance.
