Sadly, Mr. Kunnecke passed away January 23, 2001. He will be missed.
The subject is KAS' cousin-in-law Jimmie, on Kentucky Lake, in western KY. He is a great enthusiast, with many intense interests. He had the first
Hi-Fi set in Calvert City, KY, for example. He built it from a kit, and it was monaural. And powerful enough to enable an entire neighborhood to share his love of jazz music. He used to build big, beautiful flying model aircraft.
He's been a dedicated ham radio broadcaster for years. He has combined ham radio with his most recent enthusiasm, sailing. His boat is fitted out with a ham rig. On weekends, he single-sails around a giant TVA lake, mooring where he feels like at night, then chats the night away with fellow hams around the world.
