Seated on the ground in the bowl, head bent over her work, Kaslarna seems oblivious to everything. Firelizards are, for, once, silent, sleeping on their various perches around Kas. Canine is curled up over Kaslarna's feet, watching the bowl, and at Serafa's entrance gives a yip in greeting. Kas glances up and smiles. "Heya Serafa." she greets.

Serafa for once is in a reasonable mood, and well they werent expecting her at the weyr stables just yet. Flopping down beside Kaslarna she grins. "Hey Kas, wotcha doin?" Perhap you can replace reasonable with good, but slightly annoying.

"Darning." Kaslarna replies. "Its amazing how many clothes with holes in there are around." she holds up the item she's working in. A rather threadbare tunic it is, with several gaping holes. "Apparently, this is the persons favourite piece of clothing, and they've sworn never to throw it away." she looks at it. "Feel like I'm losing the fight against this." she mumurs. "Anyway, how've you been?"

Serafa grins once more shading her eyes from the sun "Good good and yourself?" Giggling she adds to her comment. "Well at least I know that one doesnt belong to N'ano, all his clothes are currently occupied." A cryptic remark from the healerite

"I'm well, apart from pricked fingers." she holds up a hand in emphasise. "I don't think that it can belong to a rider." Kaslarna says "I thought they'd keep their clothing in better condition." then she sets aside the tunic. "Dare I ask what you meant by the comment?" she asks with a grin. "Or is it something that I /wouldn't/ want to know."

Serafa giggles and holds her sides, peering about to be sure that no-one else was in hearing distance. "Weeelll some of the unoccupied candidates decided to redecorate his weyr so that when he got back it would be pretty for him and Hytiaf. And well we used his clothes, cos her really didnt have anything else" Yup another prank was preformed last night.

"Oh." is the only response Kaslarna gives. Then her face cracks. Though she's sworn not to do anymore pranks, she still enjoys hearing about them. "I think them that we might be best to keep out of their way for a few days."

Serafa chuckles heartily once more. "Well they arent due back for a couple of days so that shouldnt be a problem." Of course Serafa not doing pranks? Thats like against the natural order or something. "What exciting things do you have planned for the rest of the day?"

"Chores. Lots and lots of chores I think. Or hiding from them. One of the two." Kaslarna replies. "How about you?" Canine on Kaslarna's feet gives a groan/rumble type noise and Kaslarna's face takes on a thoughtful expression "Think they'd let me off chores if I said I had Gigi here to walk?" she asks her fellow candie.

Serafa wrinkles her nose delicately "Well they do kinda want me to muck out some stalls and then I get to look after some weyr-brats for a while and then just cos I am /so/ lucky I get infirmary duty" Oh yes its another fun-filled action-packed day of candidacy for this little healer girl.

"Well, I've just got this darning to do, then I can give you a hand to muck out the stalls if you like, unless I have to head away for..." Kaslarna has to think for a bit "Laundry, or was it scrubbing tables? One of the two anyway." Kaslarna lays aside the tunic, more interesting in chatting than working. "Seen many of the other candies awake recently?" she asks

Rhajath glides to a gentle landing after bellowing greetings to the watchdragon and any others that might notice his presence. Chelle waves to those she sees, grinning as she notes Serafa's presence. She unbuckles her riding straps quickly, then slides down to the ground.

Chelle slides down Rhajath's side, landing with a thump on the ground below.

Serafa shakes her head emphatically "Naw I think they are taking advantage of N'ano's absence dontcha know" squinting her eyes once more she notices the descent of a blue dragon, one that looks vaguely familiar. But she doesnt say anything until she is absolutely sure

"He does tend to drive us all a bit hard, doesn't he." Kaslarna says with a smile. "At least I've had no more early runs since that last one he made me do." Descending dragon is waved at impartially, until rider descends from lofty perch. "Chelle!? And Rhajath!?"

Chelle grins, walking over to the two, "Yes, it's me, in the flesh." she answers Kaslarna. "And what brings you way over here, anyway? I thought you were at 'Reaches..." Or was the last time she knew, anyway. Another look at Serafa brings a slight laugh. "Where on Pern did you come up with /those/ clothes? Someone's going to think you're...well..." she shrugs, "Have Yla and Naomi seen you in those? They're liable to take you up to that big weyr and never let you go!"

Serafa giggles "Um yeah they have, but see candidates arent allowed those /kinds/ of relationships." She giggles and fingers her little white knot. "But how have you been anyways? I havent seen you since, well since your graduation" she tugs the bottom of her tunic lower. "If you thought this is bad you shoulda seen what I was wearing before, that was worse Right Kaslarna?" She burbles, happy to see such an old friend.

"Much worse." Kaslarna nods with a wince, remembering what /she/ was wearing. "What possessed the others to dye the weyrwomans stuff green I do not know." she adds, hoping that thats the topic of conversation.

Chelle rolls her eyes at Serafa, but grins, too. "Well, just be careful after the Hatching." she warns. "Those greenriders..." she shakes her head, then turns to look where Rhajath has gone to, a spot that he won't move from until she decides to leave, probably. "We've been fine." she notes. More than fine, if the truth be told, but... "Just came down to visit for a bit, I guess. We were in the area. Oh, by the way, do either of you know a girl or woman named Namah?" she asks curiously. Serafa's clothing comment is met with a raised eyebrow, "/Worse/? Oh, my!" she grins at Kaslarna, "I /have/ heard of that...I was even here several sevendays ago and saw some more of your fellow candidates. The males looked interesting, to say the least." she says with a chuckle.

Serafa chuckles, some of the others? Nope she claims full responsibility...now "It was a random thing, the weyr-womans clothes I mean, the rest we did on purpose." Shaking her head so that the ends flick into her eyes briefly. "No I dont know her sorry" Raising a brow slightly and smirking she asks "Oh and you thought that our male candidates were interesting? Hmmm now thats --er--intersting"

"I thought they were scary." Kaslarna comments "And hairy." Then "Fraid that I don't know her." Kaslarna says, taking a quick glance in her book of names just to make sure.

Chelle laughs at Serafa, shaking her head, "I /still/ don't understand candidates and pranks." she finally says. "Well, all dressed up in dresses like they were, yes, I thought that they were very interesting...in a funny sort of way." she said amusedly. As she finds out they both don't know Namah, she sighs, "I was kind-of hoping I could meet her..I may have to bring Derk here to introduce me..." the last said mostly to herself.

Kiyna strides in from the Living Cavern.

Fareia sashays in from the Living Cavern.

Serafa pounces on the unfamiliar man-name "Chelle who's Derk?" She asks with an innocent flutter of her eyelashes before chortling to them both. "Well I thought that they were all /very/ interesting." Her faces assumes a dreamy smirk as ner eyes glaze slightly.

Kaslarna sits in silence for a while, before waving at the sudden influx of candidates that seem to invade the bowl. "Hiya all." she greets, before turning back to Chelle and repeats Serafa's question about Derk "Who?"

Teric strides in from the central bowl in his now customary shorts and sandals, shorts and hair still quite wet from a recent swim. He gives those he knows a quick nod and a grin, stopping just a ways off to study the unfamiliar rider and dragon.

Fareia wanders in, contentedly clad in one of her skirts, which flutters about her ankles with the breeze. Hair is finally let down, as the summer heat is slightly subsiding. A wave goes to Kaslarna and Serafa, a grin to Teric, and she wanders over to the girls. With a bit of a dazed blink she asks,"Hmm? Who?" Nosy much? Nah...

Chelle blinks. She /did/ say that out loud, huh? "He's a friend." she says with a grin. "I was just wanting to meet his sister, Namah." she says with a shrug. "I /think/ he said that she lives here." The other candidates are noted and nodded at in greeting. "He's trying to get into the herdercraft." she goes on. Okay, get her started talking about him, and she's not likely to stop! But, anyway...er...so how're things going?"

Kiyna is here out in the midmorning air dusting. Yes it would seem she's decided that if she'll be stuck with a horrid dusting chore she'll do it her way out in the bowl where there's dust by the ton. Mostly it's benches that she's been attacking but occasionally some random rocks on the edge or even a person.

Jayden wanders in from the Living Cavern.

"Good good. But I wanna here more about this Derk fellow. Is he cute?" Of course cuteness is essential in Serafa's books. "And well is he you know?" she leaves the details of that question to Chelle's imagination. Spotting Jayden she waves and winks cheerfully, just cos she is in a good mood and well he's male.

Fareia just blinks at them, staring for a moment, then waving to Kiyna. Who? Wha? Something's happening? Maybe Farie's tired, as she seems slightly out of it today. Another glance around herself, and she realizes she doesn't know one of the people she's talking to. Eh, it's too late to say hello. So she simply stands there. Standstandstand.

Kiyna just barely notices Fareia's wave but that's good it was noticed. Fingers are wiggled back and she goes about her dusting moving towards a few of the dragons with a giggle. Sure the gleam in her eyes is proabably a bad thing but don't lifemates collect dust too?

Teric pads over slowly, joining the group and offering a quiet greeting of, "Mornin'," before falling silent again. He crosses his arms and gives Serafa a bit of an amused smirk. "Don' see how looks have anything ta do with it," he mumbles, voice faintly teasing.

Kaslarna snaps back from whatever plane her mind had briefly inhabited. "Mumph?" is the not very intelligent comment she makes as she tries to bring her mind back into focus. "Lots of candidates." she notes once she's pulled her mind into line and bullied her vocal cords.

Chelle rolls her eyes at Serafa, "He's nice." is all she says. After all, talk of relationships while in a whole group of candidates that seem to be growing by the minute....well, she'll just leave it for later. She eyes the unfamiliar people again, and then shrugs slightly. Might as well be sociable, right? "I'm Chelle. Rhajath, over there, is mine." she points at the blue dragon dozing in his selected spot. "We're from 'Reaches." she explains, though if they can't read her knot...*shrug* The candidate who has his own opinions about people's looks gets her attention, "Depends on who you are. Some think that's /all/ there is to life." she instructs with an amused grin.

Serafa giggles and flutters back to Teric, another male, she's swimming in them today. "It's not everything, experiance is good too. Are you experianced Teric?" She purrs towards the candidate that she has only really seen from a distance.

Fareia nods slowly, it taking a while for conversation to sink in today. "'m Fareia," she simply responds, figuring that anyone could tell what she is with her purtiful white knot. She rolls her eyes slightly, letting a sleepy smirk slide onto her face while she listens to Serafa. That girl is just destined to be a greenrider. Farie's just tired...Or at least she is right now.

Teric gives a snort and nods to Chelle. "So I've noticed," he drawls out, winking over at Serafa. "Teric. I'm a smith," he offers in his curt but friendly tone, hands going to the pockets of his shorts as he just stands, idly swaying as he gives Kaslarna a sidelong look. "The more candidates the better, right?" he asks, ending in a quickly sputtering cough as he arches a brow at Serafa. "Uh... well, you could say that," is replied skeptically. "Everyone starts somewhere though, so don't feel too bad." Impish grin.

Chelle blinks at Serafa. This is a different Seffy than she remembers back in 'the days'! As she hears names, she nods, as if she'll try to remember them. It's not really likely, but you never know... She opens her mouth, about to speak, when Rhajath raises his head, rumbling deep in his chest. Chelle turns to look at him, then sighs, "Looks like I'm needed back at 'Reaches." she explains, already starting to walk towards Rhajath. "Don't let them work you all /too/ hard." she teases.

Chelle climbs up, settling herself between Rhajath's neckridges.

"I don't mind lots of candidates." Kaslarna says with a smile to Teric "But others might object. We seem to cause more trouble in groups." She falls silent, tilting her head to one side. "Which might not be a bad idea." she murmurs to herself.

Serafa raises one brow and smirks right back. "Oh I dont feel bad. On the contrary I feel very /very/ good." Waving at the suddenly departing form of Chelle and her blue she continues to watch Teric.

Teric laughs softly and nods to Kas. "Well, it certainly livens things up a bit. Nothin' much wrong with that. Usually." He gives Chelle and her lifemate a quick salute as they leave, then turns back to grin at Serafa. "Well, that's good. It'd be a shame ta have ta send ya to the healers, especially with that head weyrhealer bein' gone right now." Ooh, so he /does/ listen to gossip sometimes.

Fareia shrugs slightly as she waves a bit to Chelle. "We don't /always/ cause trouble in groups...." Well, yeah they most likely do. In fact it seems as if there's more of three of them in one place something seems to happen. "Oh well. Trouble's fun, most of the time..." Causing trouble's fun, but not getting in trouble Healer? Who what?

Serafa rolls her eyes. "I /am/ a healer, the weyr-healer is my mentor dontcha know" She responds to the unflappable smith. "If you ever need a professional opinion on your state of health just let me know. I'll see you right" Does she ever give up? No!

Teric smirks and shakes his head at Serafa. "I'll just hope nothin' big happens to me before the journeywoman comes back," he replies sweetly enough. He's been in the hands of apprentices before. Scary thought. The smith turned candiebait runs a hand quickly over his drying hair, bits poking out in all the wrong places as always. "Well, I'd best be gettin' back an' dressed proper. Cleaning an ash pit in nothin' but shorts ain't pretty." He waves then before turning to trot off towards the caverns.

Teric goes home.

Kaslarna's head comes up as she remembers something, then she glances around, checking that no riders are present at the moment. She holds up one hand to try and get the attention of the candidates. "Anyone want to give me a hand with something?" she asks the assembled, trying not to smile.

Fareia blinks at Kaslarna, cocking her head and staring for a moment before she shrugs slightly,"Urm...Sure, I guess." What now? Like earlier stated, they seem to cause trouble in groups, no matter how much it is denied. So what trouble, or lack of trouble, is it now?

Serafa pouts and watches the departing from of Teric before assuming a decidedly crafty look. "Wait Teric? Can I watch you change?" She asks standing up and giving a brief nod and wave to the candidates that she leaves behind. This people is a woman on a mission
