The first flakes have begun to fall,
surrounding me in white.
I always love to take a walk,
when the snow's so pure at night.
The footprints that I leave behind
are for everyone to see,
how much I love it, when it snows,
so they can follow me.
I love to walk as we hold hands
and we sing the songs of old.
Then as we continue, to stroll along,
I don't even mind the cold.
I feel the warmth, of this moment in time,
and just love the falling snows.
It tickles, as it touches my face
and rests upon my nose.
I love to make snow angels
and to have a snowball fight,
especially with the neighborhood kids,
who can throw, with all their might.
And the very next day,
after shovelling much the next thing I love to do
is to build the biggest snowman and to decorate him too!
And all the cars that pass him by always wave, as if he's real.
It looks like I may have this chance,
for it's snowing so hard tonight.
It's quite wonderful, how it has waited for Christmas to be in sight.
