From Cherating it was another bus and boat up to the absolute highlight of Peninsular Malaysia - the Perhentian Islands Long Beach is the travellers' hangout - plenty of food options and the most delicious shakes in Malaysia at the Palm Tree Cafe.

Peanut M&M shakes...YUM!!! Not exactly cultural but after a day in the sun...mmmmmmm...

The World Cup was now well underway in Korea and Japan and pretty much every European and Asian team had Traveller representation...Watching the games in a bar on the beach...an occasional distraction from the unbelievable crystal-clear turquoise waters lapping up to the white powder beach
