| Mel Roordink: "Kasey Chambers was performing at Chadstone in Melbourne and signing CDs. A huge crowd of people gathered to watch her sing, and then lined up for the CD signing. When it was my turn to go up, I was so excited! Kasey said 'Thanks for coming', and I couldn't stop smiling. It's not every day you get to meet one of your idols! The last time I saw Kasey perform was at the Continental - which is, alas, no more - in 2000. I just wanted to say thanks to Kasey for doing the free show - she was, as always, brilliant!" SPORTY2002: "Yes... I have met KASEY, in Tamworth this year, I got my CD signed and my boardshorts and chatted with her and yeah, I wear my shorts with GREAT PRIDE, HONOUR & JOY." Suzie Q: "I have met Kasey at Chadstone in Melbourne, she did a live, 5-6 song gig in the shopping centre in January. We lined up but within no time I was able to get her to sign my CDs and have a quick chat. She is kind and gorgeous and treats you as though you are the only one there. She was just wonderful!" Floodfan: "I have been lucky enough to meet Kasey a few times over the years. I've met her at Tamworth a few times. I also got to meet her and get my photo with her at the Byron Bay Blues Festival a couple of years ago and a week later I saw her in Sydney and she signed the photo. It is my prized possesion. She is one of the nicest people I have ever met." astrogurl: "I've met Kasey just once... It was in 1996 at a concert for an Irish singer, Daniel O'Donnell... The Dead Ringer Band were the opening act... Come to think of it, she's jinxed me... I was four months pregnant at the time. And when I go to Melbourne this year I will be four months pregnant again... Hmmm, seems there's a pattern going on here! Glad I haven't met her ten times! Then I'd be in trouble!!" |
