| Bottom Bracktet
Remover: To avoid any unwanted scratches from teeth
slipping and hitting the frame...screw the crank bolt
back into the BB after fastening the remover and use a
crescent wrench. Leverage on your levers: The farther you
have your finger/s positioned towards end of your levers,
the better braking you have from the leverage.
Cassette
Remover: To avoid any slip from the Cassette
Remover, fasten the quick release over the tool and
remove it when not needed. That way you can use one hand
for the Chain Whip and not worry about holding the
Cassette Remover on...
Bike bolt
lookover: Before going on a nice riding session,
always look over your bike and tighten up any loose bolts
or parts. Give it a quick tune-up if needed.
Lube Job:
Make
sure you always keep your moving parts on your bike
clean, and lubed nicely.
Chain
grabber: If you're going to pop a link of your chain
or something, you'll need something to hold both sides of
the chain or it will snap back...so get some thick wire
(copper) something bendable but will hold. Grab a
coathanger if need be. Cut about a 6" peice off,
bend both side. Hook one side between a link near the
crank. Pull on the other side of the chain so you have a
bit of slack to play with, and hook the other side
between a links. Now go to work.
Drag Free
Disc:
Remove the brake caliper pads in your disc brake. Use a
peice of high grit wetsand paper such as 400-600. 600
prefered to smoothen the surface. Re-apply the caliper
pads...apply the brakes a couple times. You should have
toggle bolts for your calipers, tighten or loosen them
until fit.
