Program Night is dedicated to the memory of Program Night founder Chuck Zehner who died suddenly on December 2, 2000. Program Night started with the Lionel Club in Milwaukee when Chuck was President in the early 1970's. He wanted fellow model railroaders and railfans to be able to share there experiences and pictures.  After several successful years it was decided to open up Program Night to the public and it has been going strong ever since.  Of course Chuck also originated the PBS series "Tracks Ahead".  However before "Tracks Ahead" Chuck was on local access cable TV in Milwaukee with a show called "Just Tracks".  Chuck featured local model railroaders and there accomplishments. That show which aired almost 80 episodes was the springboard for the PBS "Tracks Ahead".  Chuck was also an avid circus modeler.  Chuck will be greatly missed in the model railroad and railfan community.
So Chuck "There will always be "Tracks Ahead"
Dedicated to the Late Chuck Zehner - AMRC and AMRC Program Night Founder
Dedicated to the Late Jim Roever - Longtime AMRC Program Night Coordinator
Program Night this year should also be dedicated to another gentleman. James Roever passed away this summer. For many years Jim served as the Program Director for Program Night. He made sure that people would be there to make presentations to those in attendance. The programs that were presented were always top notch.  So this season I would like to dedicate Program Night to another big loss in the railfan community. Jim was an avid fan of Traction.  His collection of trolley slides was vast. Jim was also active in the community to get light rail into Milwaukee.  Jim also started several clubs.  One club which Jim started and served as President of ended up kicking him out. Jim often joked about that. So this year Program Night will again have to mourn the loss of a shaker and a mover. Jim Roever

Just two presenters instead of three.  This gives more time for the presentators to show the fruits of their labors.  Plus it hopefully eliminates the need to rush through the final show when the 10pm deadline is approaching
