Here the 2000 circus train is climbing Byron Hill just south of Fond du Lac, WI

A pair of Wisconsin Central SD45's lead the train uphill.

July 2000

A pair of WC SD45's lead the WSOR E-units as they climb Byron Hill just south of Fond du Lac.  This shot was taken from Hwy F overpass.

Several coaches with big open windows carry circus fans and local elected officials. Musicians and clowns also ride the train.  They all love to wave to the people trackside.

Here is the star of the show. Flatcars filled with the colorful circus wagons. All of them have been carefully restored.

More of the colorful wagons. This year for the first time an elephant was transported by train to Milwaukee.  It was in the stock car on the right side of the picture

Any good train should end with a caboose.  The circus train has its own colorful caboose to bring an end to one of the most colorful trains around.
