Participation in activities that violate the family-friendly guidelines of the Nexus can result in punishment even if the activity is not explicitly posted as illegal.

Some examples include:

  1. Abuse of a bug for personal benefit. When in doubt, report the suspected bug to tech-support(http://www.nexon.net/kingdom) to determine whether your finding is an error or intentional.
  2. Cheating in an event (submitting multiple characters in carnage, for example).
  3. Abusing the privileges offered by Nexon (using bulletin boards to advertise commercial products, for example).
  4. Manipulating the text of a written law to violate the intentions of said law.
Those convicted of violating a law that has not been explicitly mentioned by Nexon will receive a reduced penalty. As always, those with previous criminal records will be receive greater punishments than first-time offenders.

Auto hunting is defined as the advancement or potential advancement of your character without your active and conscious control of that character's actions. For example, putting a rock on your space bar so that your character can kill monsters without your attention is auto hunting.

The use of custom macros is also considered auto hunting.

The penalty for auto hunting is severe: characters lose all items, spells, and gold and pay a large experience point penalty.

Your character can only be played by you. It is a violation of your license agreement to let anyone else use your character. This includes friends, siblings, etc.
The reason for this is threefold.

  1. It is unfair to other players because the character progresses at a faster rate.
  2. It is unfair to Nexon as two people are enjoying the game for the price of one.
  3. It allows a player to claim that he is not responsible for his/her actions within the game.

Hunting law is what all justice decisions as to drops and experience is based on. Memorize this.

For clarity, "boss" is defined as anything that drops a Key or other Rare item.

Hunting, Non-Boss Creatures
Whoever makes a good progress towards the kill usually gets rights to the kill. Even if you get the experience, if you didn't make a good progress towards killing the boss(got only the last hit for example) in most cases you have no rights to the drop. It will be considered stealing kill which is not legal in this kingdom.

**Note** Paralyze, Vex, Venom, and Scourge are not considered attacking the animal.

Hunting, Boss Creatures
In rooms where Key (Earth, Fire, Mountain, etc) and Rare weapon creatures are known to spawn, the law is slightly different. In these cases, whoever is in the room first gets the right to attack the boss whenever he spawns and take the drop.

**Note** If you lag out, die, leave the room, accidentally return, or otherwise are not present at all times you forfeit camper rights.

Hunting, Rooms with Multiple Bosses
Each person has a right to one boss. So if two bosses spawn, and one person is attacking one when another person enters, the second person has rights to the second boss.

Hunting, Ginseng Cave
Because of the popularity of the ginseng cave and the complexity of its cases, the rule here is experience, not first hit. Courtesy says not to attack a monster someone is working on, however.

Hunting, Conflict Resolution
If there is a conflict about a kill and other laws cannot be decided the kill will be judged on the basis of who got the experience.

Be informed, and do not tolerate abusers. You are the community.
Nexus Rights:

  1. Life
  2. Property while living
  3. Make contract
  4. Reasonable conversation (especially Sages)
    1. Do not kill, except during events: arena battles or events against members of the opposing forces.
    2. Do not steal. Do not commit fraud. If you promise to guard someone's things, then you are committing fraud against him if you do not.
    3. Keep your oath. If you guarantee you will do something in exchange for something else, you are bound to complete this. The oath must be witnessed or in writing to be fully binding.
    4. Do not harass. Do not make repeated offers to those who are not interested. Do not abuse another person's feelings when they have told you it is intolerable. Do not fill your kingdom with frivolous messages when you have been granted the power to make Sage (wise, kind and informative) statements. When you do so, the person harassed, or several persons have been slightly wronged by you. Consider your audience. Say nothing that you would feel uncomfortable saying or hearing face-to-face with the youngest or oldest members of the Kingdoms' community(about from 10 - 60) of both genders and from several races and nationalities. These are common courtesies and easy to abide by. Defy a member of the community's rights' and you will swiftly find your protections removed. That is, if you cannot respect a fellow being's rights, then all the divine protections will be lifted.

Common Punishments:
Theft/Fraud: Double what was taken; due immediately.
Harassment/Cursing: 30 minutes in-game Jail on first offense.
Murder or repeat offenses of any serious crime: God's Fury. If you carry it this far, then your rights are completely stripped. You will be seen in prisoner's clothes, and you can be attacked. You cannot at this time deposit any of your items or escape being summoned. If you log off, the time waits until you have logged back on.

The broadcast spells Champion, Prince charming, Sage, and Hierophant, Il San Sage, and Ee San Sage(collectively referred to as Sage) are intended for sharing one's wisdom with the Nexus.

Everywhere in the Nexus, the following all constitute sage abuse:

  1. Discussing the identity of an Archon or other Nexon provided character. (Ex: "Justicar's mortal is FuManPoo!")
  2. Discussing any game other than Nexus: The Kingdom of the Winds. (Ex: "Dark Ages is really cool")
  3. Complaints about performance of any Nexon-appointed official including: Royalty, Angels, Archons, Dream Weaver. (Ex: "Why aren't any archons ever on?")
  4. Any material that, according to modern American society standards, is considered inappropriate for the ears of children as young as 6.

Those branded for sage abuse automatically lose their saging spell as well as karma.

If you are still confused about Sage Law, please ask an Archon and refrain from using Sage until you understand the great responsibility that comes with these spells. Additionally, it is requested that one not Sage unless the Sage is of general interest to the community. In other words, self-centered sages are discouraged.
Responsible use of Sage is very easy if one remembers this: when you Sage, you subject the entire community to your statement. If anyone in the community might be offended by a statement, you should not sage it.

In all places EXCEPT Mythic Nexus, the Vale, arenas, and marketplaces, the below laws also apply. Note that under normal circumstances, it is impossible to use sage to broadcast ones thoughts in the areas where these laws are in effect. However, these laws are presented here for completeness and to keep policy changes available in the future.

  1. Insulting any member of the Nexus community. This includes accusations for crimes.(Ex: "MeanPlayer is a crook!")
  2. Saging similar messages multiple times within an hour.(Ex: "Buying Flameblade" followed by "Please sell me a flameblade").
  3. Inane sages. (Ex: single letters, blank spaces, 'AFK', nonsensical phrases).
  4. Expression of affection for another player (Ex: "I wuv my snugglebunny")
  5. Complaints of lag.
  6. Comments on sage abuse. (Ex: "Ooooh, you're gonna get a warning for that sage.")
  7. Commentary about Nexon policy/laws/etc. You may use the community board for such discussions. (Ex: "The new Sage law is awful")
  8. Trying to gain the attention of an Immortal. Use Help! board for immediate non-justice concerns, Justice board for all Justice concerns, Bugs board for a technical problem, and Dreams board for game suggestions. (Ex: "The messenger bug isn't fixed yet?")

This is more intended actually for the victims of the crimes and not the actual criminals - we already know what they get.

90% of complaints to Nexon about characters being 'hacked' and having items stolen end up with the person either having given their password to someone for whatever reason or receiving a program via downloading or email that takes their user info and password and sends it to someone else. Nexon has REPEATEDLY informed players not to do this. So, if you report being 'hacked' and it is found out that you have done one of the above things - not only will your items not be returned to you, but you will also be subject to additional punishment, up to and including banishment.

Players who are 'scammed' by others telling them how to dupe items, increase stats or abilities or other such cheats around the game system will also not have their items returned and will also be subject to further punishment.

Tracking all of these thefts that have been brought about by the 'victims' trying to cheat the system has put an immense drain on the resource time at Nexon, delaying many things to be released.

This does not mean that we will not look into matters - just that we will punish those who thought to cheat and themselves were cheated.

Three very simple rules to follow will keep you 99.5% safe:

  1. Don't give anyone your password. Nexon does not need your character password for anything.
  2. Do not download any programs for Nexus that are not from their home page at www.nexon.net nor open any that are sent via email.
  3. Don't put anything on the ground that you want to keep. THIS DOES NOT GIVE THIEVES PERMISSION TO TAKE DROPPED ITEMS! But as a basic rule of thumb, if you don't want to lose it - don't put it on the ground.
  4. Don't try to cheat.
