   Greece covers the southerly part of the Balkan Peninsula. Its territory is 113.900km.near 1\3 from its territory is on islands in the White Sea.

   The population on Greece is 10.4 million people. It’s homogeneous (about 95% Greek). Over 2\3 from the population of Greece live in towns. Greece is the country with the biggest percent of people, which live in towns.

   The capital of Greece is Athens, which is important political, cultural and tourist center. Athens is visited from many people because there are many historical monuments.

   Thessalonike is the second town in Greece. Only Athens is bigger than Thessalonike. It’s the biggest part in North Greece. There you can see the beautiful old church ”Saint Dimitar”.

   The traditional language is Greek and the monetary unit is drahma.

   Greece has got valuable historical past.
