Veneration to the Buddha

Iti pi so Bhagava Araham, Samma-sambuddho,

Vijja carana sampanno, Sugato, Lokavidu,

Annuttaro purisa dhamma sarathi,

Sattha deva manussanam, Buddho, Bhagava.

Such indeed the Buddha is the Perfect One,

The Fully Enlightened One,

Endowed with wisdom and virtue,

Proclaiming the Truth, knower of the world,

Incomparable charioteer of men to be tamed,

Teacher of Gods and men,

The Enlightened One, The Blessed One.

Evam navahi gunehi lokamhi kittibyapitam

Atulam dhamma rajaram vandami tihi sadaram

Thus to the Buddha who has nine virtues

Incomparable, King of Truth in the world,

I pay homage in three-fold respect.
